How to cast food grade silicone beads l Melikey

Food grade silicone beads are very safe and very suitable for developing fine motor and sensory skills, understanding the patterns and creativity of newborns. So, let us now discuss how to cast food grade silicone beads.

If your goal is to make silicone product, then please take a different perspective on the current research. The reason why the silicone mold works is because the silicone hardly sticks to anything except silicone. If you use silicone as a base to create molds, pouring food inside means you can pour the food out without sticking your hands.

The step-by-step method is as follows:

Create a modeling clay foundation and level it out as carefully as possible.
Insert the bead into the midpoint of the base to ensure that the direction of the through hole is vertical.
It can also be embedded in various positions of the base across the bed alignment point. These points can be bumps of clay, pyramids, cones, and cones that are easy to release. The conical depression will also be good.
Coat the surface of the beads and clay with a release agent.
Wrap the clay bed in a suitable box structure to create a pouring frame.
Select the desired resin and fill it to cover the beads and alignment points.
After curing, remove the clay bed, but leave it in place or wash and replace the beads.
Clean the release agent and apply it to the cured mold and beads.
Create a new casting frame around the cured mold.
Pour into the back half of the mold and allow it to cure as before.
When the mold is separated and cleaned, any organosilicon compound applied will form beads. Without cutting gates or vents, a mold can be filled with silicone and cured. Do not touch the cured surface. Fill the other half of the mold with silicone and place the first half on top of it.

The uncured silicone will bond with the previous casting compound and form beads. Depending on the amount of silicone used, the seam may be thicker.

I don't think that molds with gates and vents can be used to make beads. Since the spherical shape of the beads requires a two-part mold to release the beads, it is more practical to consider the creation of seam patterns.

The tricky part will involve making sure that the clay bed fills the bead opening when it is pressed into place in an earlier step. It is also important to clean the clay from these openings when creating the second mold. Any failure point in these items will form a solder bead without a through hole.

We can also adjust a little on the first method:

Place your beads on the wire. Use scissors to cut off an old hanger and use it. This will allow you to pass through all the beads at once. Make sure the cord is the same length as the Tupperware to be used. In this way, your gate can pass through all the way.

Will not be based on clay, because it may be difficult to capture the details of such a small project. When you throw them, you will have gaps and eventually flash past the beads.

I look at an acrylic water kit. This is a 2-part casting made of acrylic, usually found in the flower arrangement department. Use petroleum jelly to coat the steel wire with beads and also coat the inside of the Tupperware tableware. Fill it with half of Tupperware and put it in. Put it away. Use the current Vaseline to coat acrylic, then add a new batch of acrylic to Tupperware. After setting, tear it open on the jelly line. You may need to cut off the open end of the gate. Cut the opening diagonally to make a funnel.

After this is done, you just need to spray the acrylic mold with cooking spray, and then spray the silicone into it.
